Jeremiah
Thanksgiving is a great time to catch up on Bible reading! I’m currently on my way to visit family and am listening to Jeremiah with the other passengers. We are moved by the poetry of Jeremiah—lines like 12:13: “My people have planted wheat but are harvesting thorns” and 22:13 “What sorrow awaits Jehoiakim who builds his palace with forced labor. He builds injustice into its walls, for he makes his neighbors work for nothing.” Sounds like a blues song… or maybe grunge? What musical genre would you pair with this prophet?
Blessings on your own journeys of life, faith and food this holiday. I’m giving thanks for you this year! Thanks for joining me on this Bible-reading adventure!
